Killarney Memory Tree

Every Christmas, our school grounds come alive with something truly meaningful, a tree that glows with love and remembrance. The Killarney Memory Tree is a heartfelt Christmas tradition that honours loved ones with simple gestures of remembrance. Created by our dedicated teacher and colleague, Mrs. Rhonda Healy, this beautiful tradition brings comfort, connection, and community spirit to families across Killarney and beyond.

Each bulb tells a story, becoming a luminous tribute to someone dear, shining with love, remembrance, and hope. For just €5, you can dedicate a light in honour of a family member, friend, or anyone close to your heart. Lights can be purchased online or directly from the school, and every contribution helps support our students and school community.

The official switch-on ceremony takes place on December 2nd at 7:00 pm, with carols by candlelight, hot chocolate, and a warm welcome for all. It’s a magical evening that brings people together to celebrate, reflect, and share in the joy of the season.

To further mark this tribute, a special Mass will be held in St. Mary’s Cathedral on December 16th at 1:10 pm, open to everyone who wishes to join in prayer and remembrance.

The Killarney Memory Tree is more than just a fundraiser; it’s a symbol of love, legacy, and the heart of our school. Join us in lighting up Killarney this Christmas season.
