Digital Learning

At Holy Cross Mercy, we have always been committed to innovation and preparing our students for the future. Digital learning has been an integral part of our curriculum since 2012, reflecting our forward-thinking approach and dedication to providing the best educational experiences.

Our students benefit from a vibrant technological environment, equipped with state of the art Apple devices such as iPads, Apple TVs, and other digital tools. These resources support a dynamic, engaging, and interactive learning environment where children can explore, create, and collaborate. Many of our staff are Apple Educators, sharing their expertise and enthusiasm for technology to enhance teaching across the school. Their skills enable us to incorporate a wide range of apps and digital resources that promote creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking.
Digital tools are designed to enrich the child's learning experience, making lessons more engaging and accessible. For our youngest learners, these tools support play-based and experiential learning, helping children develop digital literacy skills in a fun and meaningful way. The intuitive nature of Apple devices and apps makes them ideal for early learners, encouraging exploration and discovery from an early age.

Some of our children also benefit from assistive technology, which is integrated into our digital environment to support their individual learning needs. These tools help enhance accessibility, allowing every child to participate fully and confidently in their learning journey.

Our classrooms are well-equipped with televisions, Apple TVs, and iPads available to each class, providing endless opportunities for multimedia projects, interactive lessons, and personalised learning experiences. We also place great importance on communication with parents through Seesaw a platform that allows teachers to share student updates in real time, fostering a strong connection between school and home.

In September 2025, we introduced Aladdin Connect as part of our commitment to strengthening communication between school and home. This user friendly platform allows parents to stay informed about their child’s school life, including attendance, school reports, online enrolment, and important notices. With real time updates and secure access, Aladdin Connect empowers parents to be more involved and engaged in their child’s education journey.

At Holy Cross Mercy, we believe that digital literacy is essential for children to succeed in today’s world. By integrating cutting edge digital tools and assistive technologies into our curriculum, we are helping our students become confident, creative, and critical thinkers ready to thrive in the 21st century.
