Science Week 2025 was a wonderful celebration of curiosity, creativity, and discovery here at Holy Cross Mercy. The whole school took part in a wide range of exciting experiments and fun activities designed to highlight the importance of science in our everyday lives and to open up young minds to thinking scientifically.
From simple exercises exploring the senses to hands-on investigations with electric circuits, every class engaged in age-appropriate experiments that encouraged observation, questioning, and problem-solving. Children explored the world around them through activities linked to the curriculum.
The week also highlighted the importance of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). Children were encouraged to see how science connects with technology and engineering through practical challenges, while mathematics provided the tools to measure, record, and analyse their findings.
The atmosphere throughout the school was one of excitement and discovery. Pupils worked together, asked questions, and shared their findings with each other. Science Week reminded us that science is not just about experiments, it’s about curiosity, creativity, and the joy of learning.
We are proud of how our students embraced the spirit of Science Week 2025, and we look forward to continuing to nurture their scientific thinking in the months ahead.
