Mrs Spillane’s Senior Infant class had a wonderful trip to Killarney Library this week as part of the Children’s Book Festival. The class was treated to a special author reading with Tatyana Feeney, who shared her delightful book Stockingopolis.
The children were captivated by the story and thrilled to meet a real-life author and illustrator. After the reading, they took part in a fun and creative activity inspired by the book’s theme, bringing their imaginations to life through art and storytelling.
It was a fantastic opportunity to celebrate books in such an engaging and memorable way. We’re so lucky here at Holy Cross Mercy, with the library just a short walk from our school gate, we simply turn left for stories and right for the beauty of the National Park!
