Team Hope Shoebox Appeal

This year’s Team Hope Shoebox Appeal was a wonderful reminder of how small acts of kindness can make a big difference. The initiative was once again led by Ms Frances Arthur and our brilliant Student Council, who brought energy, heart and organisation to every step of the process.

Each child throughout the school contributed €2, which gave the Student Council the chance to head out and shop for gifts to fill shoeboxes for girls and boys of all ages. From fun toys and cosy socks to school supplies and hygiene items, every box was packed with care and love.

Our wonderful SNAs were on hand to support the girls as they thoughtfully compiled each box, making sure everything was just right. To make the gifts even more personal, the children wrote little notes to pack inside.

The children were buzzing with excitement. They loved picking out the items, helping to pack the boxes and knowing that somewhere, another child would open that box and feel pure joy. It wasn’t just about giving. It was about connection, compassion and doing something special for someone else.

Thanks to Ms Arthur’s steady guidance, the Student Council’s hard work and the kind support of our SNAs, everything came together beautifully. On Friday, Sheila from the Team Hope Shoebox Appeal in Killarney arrived to collect the boxes and was absolutely thrilled with our contribution. As we prepare for Christmas, these shoeboxes are now on their way to children around the world.
