Today, pupils from across the school enjoyed a visit to the Anam Centre as part of the Kerry International Film Festival (KIFF). We attended a screening of a series of engaging and inspiring primary short films, giving the children a wonderful opportunity to experience storytelling through film on the big screen.
A particular highlight of the morning was meeting Ruth Harbison, animator and creative director. The children were delighted to learn that Ruth's short film, Happy Hauntings, was one of the films featured in today's screening. It was a special opportunity to meet the creative mind behind the animation and gain an insight into the world of filmmaking and animation.
We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and were captivated by the range of films on display. It was a memorable outing that sparked curiosity, imagination and plenty of conversation on the journey back to school.
A huge thank you to Amy and the entire KIFF team for providing such a wonderful opportunity for our students. We are very grateful for the warm welcome and for organising such an enjoyable and inspiring event.
